impression | keep the trees warm

Hi lovelies,

I think most of you know that knittingis one of my real passions. Not only because of having total freedom in patterns and colors of the pieces I knit, it also helps me to relax after a busy day in the office. Until know, all pieces I knit were clothes: coats, scarves, beanies, … , most for myself.

Some time ago I found a great example for a different trend which is called “guerilla knitting” in Nesselwangen, a small town near Lake Constance. People there really seem to worry about the health of the trees there – they don’t want them to get a cold so they knitted some kind of “clothes” for them to keep them warm. One of these trees is located in fromt of the church …

 To me this idea of guerilla knitting is really great as it is a great – non destructive – way to bring not only some more color to the world, but also somehing “comfy” and “soft”. Sometimes I also think of using some remaining yarn from former projets to do something smilar …
