Hi lovelies,

once more it is time for a summary of my latest shopping prey 😉 .

You know that most men only go shopping when some pieces have to be substituted because the old ones are in a really bad condition. Based on this aspect buying this pair of brown leather gloves from Roeckl was a really “male” thing – I bought them becaue my older ones were no longer the wa I want them to be. And also similar to the “male” method  the only changes were the lining (these are cashmere only) and the length (they are a bit longer now to keep teh wrist warm).

The story of this mustard turtleneck sweater is totally different: although my closet contains many different colors there is one I absolutely avoid to wear: orange, because it really makes me looking some kind of sick (two former bosses of mine asked me if I was okay, just because of an orange shirt). And somehow I was a bit afraid that it would be similar with a piece in mustard color. Anyway, few weeks ago I read a discussion in the online community of a well known German magazine about which color top piar with a musterd top – I read it and becasem more and more curious to give it a try. At last I found this turtleneck sweater by V-Neck at Yoox.com and after putting it on I absolutely love the color.

Before telling you about the last piece I have to note something: one regular routine with my wardrobe is to ckeck all pieces for different aspects, such as appearance, quelity, comfort and how they fit in my actual style concept. If the piece passes this, I keep it – if not, I will start looking for a better alternative and give the old piece away (for example by selling them on ebay).

One of the pieces with the most restrictive criteria in this routine is my black pair of boots. Although my Lemare boost were and are still really great, there are small aspects that I do not like, e.g. the short zipper at the inner side of the leg which make the folds really look not nice. Further more I was looking for a warmer pair because the Lemare ones were unlined ones. So, after looking in verious online shops as well as “offline” ones (I really love the see the clerks’ reactions to me) I found this pair by Fabrica Moricetti at Yoox.com.

Edit: after wearing the boots for some time at home on my carpet (something I do with all new shoes) hey started to hurt, so I had to send them back.

I already look forward to show you these new pieces as part of outfits and I’m also curious about your thoughts.

Until then, I wish you a nice Advent and

Have a wonderful time!

Spread the love
