thank you so much for stopping by on my blog. Last weekend some of my relatives visited me here at Lake Constance and wanted to do some sightseeing. I suggested to visit the Danube valley and also Sigmaringen. The most famous attraction in Sigmaringen is the Schloss Sigmaringen, which was the seat of the principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Here you can see some views from the inner courtyard of the castle, which you can visit during a guided tour and have a look at the impressive halls. Too bad it is forbidden to take photos inside …
But not only the castle, also other buildings there are really beautiful as they are still in their original state and have not been destroyed during wars. I think most of you heard of the river flowing through Sigmaringen – the Danube, one of the big rivers we have in Europe. Somehow it is hard to believe that this small river will grow to the huge river. Afterwards we drove along the river Danube through the Danube valley, a great region which I really love to visit during fall because – if you are lucky – you can really get the experience of something similar to “Indian summer”. Maybe you already know this beautiful place – if not, perhaps you will get the chance to visit it.
Again, thanks for joining my blog and
Have a wonderful time!
