impression | Füssen on a rainy day

Hi lovelies,

I hope all of you could enjoy last weekend. I took the chance for a short Trip to Tannheim in Austria, a small village just about 120 km from where I live. When I drove there on Friday it was really annoying because I needed about three hours for the way because of the tourists.

As it was raining on Saturday I decided to visit some towns around Tannheim and one of them was Füssen. I don’t think you ever heard about this town but I am absolutely sure you know the famous building in the neighbourhood: Neuschwanstein built by Ludwig 2nd.

On a small hill in Füssen there is the High Castle.

When you look at the buildings it seems that there are many bays – in reality most of them are just painted on the wall creating the illusion.img_1310-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day

Below the Castle there is St. Mang’s church where the oldest Fresco’s in Germany can be seenimg_1299-462x616 impression | Füssen on a rainy day img_1317-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day In my opinion it is quite uncommon to find a dragon in a catholic church.img_1323-462x616 impression | Füssen on a rainy day When I walked back from the hill there was a small “concert” of people playing alphorns …img_1324-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day img_1325-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day

The river near Füssen is the river Lech.

Few kilometres from Füssen you can find the Lech Falls, a small waterfall with a nice canyon afterwards.img_1330-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day img_1338-462x346 impression | Füssen on a rainy day
